Update on Life

I started teaching piano lessons again. I have 3 students! I feel like I'm a real piano teacher now! Two of them are 6 and one is 8. It's been fun so far. I scheduled two of the lessons in the evening when Brock is home, and the other one is in the morning during Pierce's naptime. He's been awake for both of the lessons so far though. Fortunately, he just plays around on the floor and only whines for the last 5 minutes or so. I just hold him for those last few minutes, and he hasn't been much of a disruption so far. We'll see how it goes once he starts crawling. Seminary seems to be going well for Brock. He goes to sleep by about 9:30 every night, so it's a little annoying. He pretty much comes home from work, eats dinner, plans his lesson for the next day, and goes to bed. Pierce has been having a difficult time with bedtime lately, so I've just been sitting in his room until 10:30 or 11:00 so I can take care of him without his crying waking up Brock. I'm usually not tired until then anyway since I sleep later in the morning. Needless to say, we look forward to weekends even more now that seminary has started. They're building a house next door to us. I love hearing the construction at 7:30 every morning. It's great. We're disappointed because the house is not facing our street. It's on the corner and facing the other direction, so we have a nice view of the back of someone's house. I guess it beats the little construction trailer that used to be on that lot though. I had a dream once that someone moved into that trailer. They painted it and made the lawn look all cute with flowers and nice grass. We were very unhappy about it in my dream. I'm so excited about my Christmas present! Brock was going to surprise me, but I figured it out, and it's exactly what I want! Let's just say that the blog is going to have some very nice looking pictures on it after December 25th. (Not that there's anything wrong with the current pictures, Brock.) We're approaching my favorite time of year! I can't wait for it to cool down and for the leaves to start changing. Unfortunately, fall leads to my least favorite season...winter. The best thing about winter though is that Brock doesn't have to mow the lawn. Mowing the lawn is my least favorite thing that Brock has to do. He laughed when I told him that, but I'm serious. I hate that he has to mow the lawn! I don't hate it enough to do it for him, but I just feel really bad for him when he does it. Speaking of Brock, I think he's home early from work. Yay!

You must have inherited that from me because I hate that Dad has to mow the lawn too (and work in the yard). He claims he likes it. He says it's like me and how I like to clean house and then sit back and enjoy the clean house. At least I get to clean house in air conditioning. I feel bad he has to be out in the heat and humidity.

Arkansas? How fun! I am glad that you got to see some of your friends too. I know what you mean about babies though. There were/are 14 sisters in our ward right now that are expecting!!! And ALL my friends up here that aren't in our ward are expecting too. And a handful of you from Conway are having babies. Babies, babies, babies! But I love them. Glad that things are going well for you.
