I'm sick of POOP
I was just reading my friend Katie's blog and she mentioned that her baby pooped on her shorts (actually on some shorts that she borrowed from Celeste). ANYWAY, it made me want to blog about Pierce's recent pooping escapades.
So he must be in between diaper sizes right now (we're up to size 3) because he's been having blowouts left and right. His favorite place to relieve himself is in his carseat. I guess it makes sense given the scrunched up position it puts him in. I'll get him all ready to go somewhere...fed, diapered, freshly clothed, and all...and within minutes of sitting in that seat, I hear the explosion. If it happens at home, I usually take care of it quickly before any leakage occurs. HOWEVER, quite often it happens in the car which gives it time to creep up his back or down his leg before I can get him out to change him. I've spent way too much time after arriving at a destination stripping the poor kid down in the trunk of my car and cleaning up his poop disasters. I then have to put something over his carseat so I can get him home in it. We've taken that thing apart to wash way too many times lately. We finally got with the program and bought a "Piddle Pad" to protect the seat. However, he dirtied it on the first use, and it was still in the laundry the next day when he had another blowout. I need a second one. Solid foods cannot come soon enough.
I love that baby so much even though he's such a mess sometimes! At least the spitting up has improved a lot. He's precious.

LOL That's hilarious. With both kids, I haven't had one blowout yet. Maybe little ones, but nothing that comes running out the sides. That's so awesome that Pierce has a special place he can relieve himself.
Brynlee always spits up as soon as we put her in her carseat, but I haven't washed it yet, maybe I should figure out how. I think it is the position. Their bellies get squished. When are you going to start him on solids? I'm thinking 6 months. The doc yesterday said there was no real benefit to starting at 4 months. When are you coming to Conway?
Just wait until he smears it all over the wall like you did when you were a toddler.
how fun! And you smeared it all over the wall. :)
Ahhh the joys of motherhood!
