Christmas in Utah

We spent Christmas in Utah this year with Brock's family. We were really looking forward to the trip because it had been a long time since we had been to their house and even longer since we had been to their house for Christmas. We really enjoyed our time there. We ate a lot of good food and treats, relaxed a lot, and played a little. The family went to a go kart place. It was fun because the cars were fast and they tracked your times so you could see how well you did each race and where you placed. I just watched. No pregnant ladies allowed.

The next day, most of the family went snowmobiling. Carmen and I stayed home for that one.
I tried really hard to cut back on the sweets, but I'm not sure how well I did with all the yummy cinnamon rolls and sugar cookies, not to mention the huge Costco box of Skittles they gave me for Christmas. :) I love Skittles. Our time there went by too fast, and we wanted to stay longer. I don't know why, but I had some issues there with my back. Well, not really my back but my rear end. I was waddling around everywhere like I was 9+ months pregnant. I was in a lot of pain for 2 weeks, but it decided to stop when we got back from Utah, thankfully. I assume it was just my pelvis expanding to make room for the baby. Whatever it was, I'm glad it didn't last long. The Utah climate was also really hard on me. I couldn't breathe there because of the altitude and the dry air. Even when I was resting, I couldn't breathe very well. It was really annoying. Brock had sinus issues too the first few days. We're used to humidity. I wish I hadn't felt so bad the whole time. Brock's family probably thought I was pathetic, but as soon as I got back to Cincinnati, I was all better. I feel perfectly fine now.

Both of our families got us some nice, generous gifts. We love all of it, and we're so grateful. We're mostly grateful though for our good families and that we all love each other and get along well.

I thought the weather in Utah for Christmas was terrible. I dont know where the Roarks live, but the Layton and Brigham City area had tons of snow and ice. Glad you had fun. Is Brock's sister engaged?
The DC trip looked great. We'll make our way to the East Coast someday. I can't wait.
