Visitors

I wanted to blog about all the fun we had with the Roark family before my mind got clouded with other stuff even though I'm not going to post any pictures....at least not right now. I wasn't very blogminded while they were here, so I didn't really take many pictures, but I did get a few, so those will come later.

The night I left girls camp, Brock's family flew in from Utah (all except Brittany because she's in school). His dad arrived before I got home, but the rest of them came in late, so I had just enough time to go home, unpack, and shower my stinky self. The next day (Saturday) we just drove around to a couple of malls, and we went downtown to see where Brock works (couldn't go in on a Saturday though). Then we had Graeter's and sat at Fountain Square while we listened to some people sing, notably an "urban missionary" who yodeled and rapped about Jesus...in the same song.

We went to church Sunday. They were patient enough to wait the 3 hours so I could fulfill my calling as primary chorister, and then we all drove to Connersville IN. We went over to Brock's aunt Faye's house for dinner. Branden and Brock and Joe got recognized for upcoming birthdays and father's day that the family wouldn't be together for. Brock, Branden, and I drove back home that night.




Branden left Monday morning to go back to work. Brock flew to Dallas Tuesday for work and came home late that night. On Wednesday Joe, Carmen, and Brooke came back to our house with Grandpa Cecil and Faye, and we went to lunch with them before they went back to Connersville. Thursday morning Joe had to leave for a business trip.

Brooke and Carmen hung out with me until Monday of this week. I really enjoyed having them here. Apparently not working is getting lonely for me because I just love having people come to visit. It really doesn't bother me to share my house. I like to have friends to play with. We decorated, went to the zoo, visited Brock's work, got a pedicure, shopped, watched tv, and just hung out. I can't believe I didn't take any pictures. Especially since I kept saying the whole time they were here, "I should be taking pictures for my blog." Dumb.

Anyway, it was a really fun week or so, and we welcome any friends or family who would like to visit us or revisit us.
