Way back in May of 2004, right after we got married, Brock got a motorcycle. As poor college students, we felt the need to save some money, so we thought it would be a good purchase. It was a REALLY good purchase. For about a year, it saved us a lot of money, and on top of that, it was really nice to be able to park in the motorcycle lots at BYU. Talk about convenient. Unfortunately, we needed something more reliable and less, um, cold (motorcycles aren't that pleasant during winter in Utah...poor Brock), so we sold it and bought a truck. The funny part of this story (or not funny depending on who you talk to) is that the entire year that we owned this motorcycle, Brock's parents had no idea. We lived in Provo and they lived in Draper, so they were around a lot, but they never knew. Brock didn't really try to hide it, and he didn't lie about anything. It just never came up. Well, when his dad came to visit us a couple weeks ago, it finally came up. Someone asked Brock (in front of his dad) if he's ever had a motorcycle, and he told the truth. His dad seemed to find humor in it. Brock thought his mom would find out, but his dad respectfully left it up to Brock to tell. So this last week, when his mom was visiting us, Brock told her too. She didn't take it as well, but luckily she still seems to love Brock even though she thinks he's an idiot for driving a motorcycle. 6/17/08

HaHa....that's pretty funny! I can't believe it didn't come up before now.
I totally side with Carmen. Tyler and I saw a man die--dead--on one of those. It was a tramatic scene that we'll never forget. However, they are fun to ride on every now and then.
So, Brock, when are you going to get another bike?
Are you kidding about not trying to hide it? We were threatened with our lives if we even mentioned that bike in the presence of his parents
