I have a 6 month old child!
Pierce turned 6 months this week! Since he was born on March 31st, his half birthday fell into some twilight zone between September 30th and October 1st. We went for his check up Thursday. He's 18 lbs 14.5 oz and 27.5 inches. His head is 47 cm. He's so big. The main topics of discussion were reflux and starting solids. The doctor suggested 3 baby food meals a day now. It's been fun giving him new foods. He's officially had green beans, carrots, squash, bananas, pears, rice cereal, and oatmeal cereal. He's loved all the fruits and vegetables so far. He got his shots and cried more than usual this time, which still wasn't much. I expected that though since he cried when they weighed him. I still don't quite understand why some mothers cry when their babies get shots. I just never have the urge to cry. Yes, I feel bad for him, and yes, I love him, but no tears for me. It goes so fast, I don't even have time to think about crying. Anyway, he did good, and I can't believe he's 6 months old. He's army-crawling now and sort of sitting on his own (but falls over when he tries to reach for things). He's getting into everything. He's developing a fun little personality, and we're loving every minute of it!

It's so fun watching your little one go into a new phase of his life. The crawling, the tooth, the foods, the walking, the giggling, EVERYTHING! Hopefully, Pierce will enjoy the doctor better than Jackson because he freaks out and hates it when anyone touches him. I guess after all the shots, he's learned that it's not such a fun place to be.
