3 months old

I lied about the video in the last post. I didn't get Brock to post it like I said I would. My baby is 3 months old now! He's not a newborn anymore, and I can definitely tell! What's up with all the whining already? I didn't know that started so early. He's so cute though! He smiles so much. It's hard when I'm trying to be serious and put him to bed and he's sitting there smiling at me. It makes me want to pick him up and play with him! His happiest time is when I'm changing his diaper. He kicks his legs and flails his arm and smiles so big and talks his little baby talk to me. It's so crazy to think of all the screaming he did in his first few weeks during diaper changes. We also cut Pierce's mullet hair Sunday night. He looks cuter without it. He has a bald spot on the back of his head from having it rub on things. I feel like that makes me a bad mother because I don't hold him enough, but seriously, try carrying a 15 lb baby around all day that can just barely hold his own head up. It's tough! I've come to the conclusion that Pierce is teething. My mom told me today that I should stop trying to figure out what's wrong with him all the time. I guess it's just fun for me to have the challenge of figuring out every little thing that he does. That's just the way my brain works. I'm a problem solver. The past few days have been really rough. He's still sleeping 8-9 hours about every night, but I can't get him to sleep at all during the day! At least not longer than 30 minutes at a time. He's exhausted and whiney all day. The thought came to me today that he might be teething. I know it's a little early, but it's definitely not unheard of. He's drooling. He wants his pacifier, but he just moves it around in his mouth and spits it out instead of sucking on it. He pulls his blankets and burp rags to his mouth. He wants to nurse constantly. He still keeps smiling at me a lot even though he's whiney and tired. As I'm saying this though, he's sleeping in his car seat. He's been sleeping for 2 hours. Before he fell asleep I massaged his gums a little. Maybe that helped him sleep? He's been whining in his sleep too. Maybe I'm totally wrong about the teething thing, but if I am, I have no idea what the problem could be. We're taking Pierce to a cranio sacral therapist next week. The chiropractor recommended it, and the people who recommended the chiropractor also go to this therapist. (Amy, I haven't forgotten that you suggested this a long time ago. If it helps, I'll give you all the credit!) I'll let you guys know how it goes!

Bahaha! Thanks, just trying to help anotha motha out.

Naptime could possibly be interrupted by the 45-minute intruder. I know that sounds lame, but it happened to Sam. Here´s a link so you can know what it is and try it out if you choose.

Hyland´s teething tablets - Kroger, all natural, they dissolve in his mouth. Love them.

You´re doing a good job momma!

Jackson had the same problem! He was such a sweet and calm baby and a good sleeper, but then 3 months hit and everything changed. I couldn't figure out what was going on! Everyone said he must be teething, so I assumed that was the problem, but to this day I realy don't think he was teething. 3 months is just one of those milestones when they have a major growth spurt. We tried the teething tablets, but it never seemed to work. Good luck in your quest as a mother! hehe
