I know I said in the last post that more pictures were coming, but I'm on my laptop and my pictures are on my other computer, so it'll just be words for now. We've had lots of visitors lately. My parents came on the 30th and stayed until the 5th. Brock's family flew in literally as we were dropping off my parents at the airport to leave. The last of them left yesterday afternoon.
Brock blessed Pierce on Sunday. We actually made it to church on time. Pierce started to whine a little, but he was pretty much quiet for the blessing. Brock said he let out a little scream, but I honestly didn't even notice. I guess I've just learned to tune out screaming kids at church. Brock did a really good job! I left sacrament meeting as soon as he was done, and stayed in the mother's lounge for the rest of the meeting. I was changing Pierce's diaper in there, and he peed on his white outfit, so he didn't get to wear it long. We changed him back into it though later that day for pictures (after we washed it of course). Brock's aunt Pat and grandpa Cecil drove over from Connersville and stayed for lunch with us. Thanks for the good lunch Carmen and Joe! Maybe next time I can cook for them in my own house and let them just be the guests.
I got so much done over the last week and a half. I had a lot of help. My mom especially wanted to make sure that I got everything done that I needed to. Things have been piling up over the past few months! Thanks mom.
It's interesting to see how everyone reacts to Pierce. I can't get over how obsessed Brooke and Brittany are with him. Every little thing he does is a huge deal to them. I'm glad he gets so much love and attention! Hopefully, he's not too sad today that I can't hold him all the time, but at least he's getting a little more rest. He's been smiling a lot more lately. It's so cute! I didn't know if he would ever be a smiley baby with all the grumpy faces he made during his first month!
We have thrush again. He's back on the nystatin 4 times a day until a week after the thrush is gone, however long that takes. It was much easier to recognize this time. That stuff is apparently tough to get rid of!
We got family pictures made with the Roarks. You can see the sneak peek on the photographer's blog at krysiaphotography.com/blog. You'll have to scroll down a little...we're not at the top anymore. I think there are going to be some good ones.
