One big concern we've been having is Pierce's tendency to only turn his head to the right. We noticed it was more than just a preference because he was fighting against it when we tried to turn it the other way. The doctor is sending us to physical therapy because he has torticollis (a tightening in the muscle on one side of his neck aka wryneck). I had already come up with that on my own a couple days ago by doing internet research, but I'm glad the doctor had the same opinion without my having to tell him what my own diagnosis was.
Because of the torticollis, Pierce's head is starting to flatten on the side he always sleeps on. When he's 4 months old, we may have to get a helmet for a couple of months to shape his head. I really don't want him to have to wear a helmet, but if his head gets too out of shape, we'll do it for him. Hopefully he won't even need it.
We readdressed the jaundice issue. He sent us to get another blood test, and his bilirubin is down to 5. It's obviously clearing up, so I'm not worried. Brock, on the other hand, is still worrying about it since they didn't check the levels during the first month.
He's been spitting up excessively for several weeks, and the other doctors just told me it was normal, but this doctor has diagnosed him with reflux and we now have medicine for it. I knew it wasn't normal, but my mom has been here, and she confirmed it. Hopefully he starts to feel better.
He got his next round of shots, so he's had a cranky sad day. I feel bad for him!
It sounds like Pierce is a mess, but he's actually really healthy! As I mentioned in the last post, he's still growing so fast! I'm getting really buff carrying him around! Haha, not really, I have a long way to go.

It's nice to get answers! I hope the reflux medicine helps. Brynlee still spits up, but she feels better. You do have a big boy, but they are so cute when they're chubby!
Owen had torticollis, also. His Dr showed us different stretches so we didn't have to take him to the PT and it was mostly cleared up by his 4 mo check up. Good luck!
Yay on your new car! Now you´ll have to pop more kids out to fill it up!
Pierce is sooo cute. He is a perfect combo of you guys.
Regarding the torticollis and the reflux you might check out an alternative cranial chiropractor. I go to one and he is awesome! He helps me with my migraines and acid reflux among other things. They can work on babies too.
Aww, he's so cute! And I'm totally jealous of the Pilot, lol. That would be my choice of vehicle since we have to switch to a bigger car from the Jetta. Well, thanks for letting me hang out! Did you hear, I'm having two boys?! That seems so crazy to me, I'm so into all the pink, purple, flowers and bows! Well...it should be fun.
He's so cute!
Britney, He is an incredibly adorable baby!!!! I'm glad you found answers and everything is clearing up. He's lucky to have a mom who keeps going till she finds a solution. He is such a cute baby!!
cute car and cute baby! okay and brock is cute too. :) i'm so glad you got a doctor you like. i had a horrible pediatrician at first, she made me cry and was super mean and she didn't even care about shelby. like the doctor didn't even smile at her. and hello? shelby is so darling. then we found a pediatrician that is so awesome. like i love her and she is my favorite person in the whole world. not exaggerating.
Cute pictures! He does look just like you and a lot like Brock!
