Time Flies

I can't believe how fast time is passing. It seems like just yesterday I was at CiCi's Pizza feeling like I needed to run to the bathroom every few minutes, haha. That was a crazy day. This is more for my own journaling purposes than for anyone else. I just want to document that day (March 30th) so I can always remember. I kept saying that I wasn't nesting and Brock was, but that day we both really kicked it in gear. I don't know if it was an instinct to nest or if I just got nervous because I saw the signs of labor coming, but this is how my day went...

I slept in. (Even when I'm nesting, I'm not losing sleep over it.)
I went to Midas because we had taken our car there over the weekend, and they didn't put it back together correctly (story of Brock's life).
I ate an early lunch at Taco Bell, a favorite place of mine for lunch in late pregnancy.
I went grocery shopping at Walmart.
I went home and cleaned our bathroom.
I rested for a little bit. (I had a bad cold and didn't feel good at all.)
Brock wanted to get the oil changed in our car after work, so I met him at the Honda dealership.
Before he got there, I got the car washed.
We drove to Walmart to return our vacuum cleaner and buy a new one.
We went back to pick up the car. (I knew I was starting to have contractions at this point.)
Brock got the other car washed, and I waited for him.
We went to eat at CiCi's.
We drove home. (Contractions were hurting by then.)
Brock put the new vacuum together.
Brock cleaned out both cars, and I sat in the garage and talked to him. (I tried timing the contractions with the stop watch on his iphone. I think they were about 8 minutes apart.)
Brock put together a shelving unit in the basement for our food storage, and I watched.
I tried to watch part of Dancing with the Stars while timing my contractions, and Brock kept running around the house doing stuff.
We went to bed, and I decided that there was no way I was going to be able to sleep.

I think you all know the story from here. Brock slept in the other room, and I watched TV all night. I might have slept for a couple minutes at a time, but I was in a lot of pain by early morning. I guess I've already forgotten the pain because I think the whole experience was really fun and exciting. I really enjoyed every minute of it from the first contractions at the Honda dealership until the baby came out. I could do that again!

So we have the cutest little baby boy, and my last few posts haven't even had any pictures. Tomorrow I'll try to put up some more pictures.

That's great that you guys got so much done. I still haven't experienced going into labor naturally so I have no idea what I'll do when it happens. I'm also glad to hear that I'm not that only pregnant person that eats taco bell. I feel guilty every time but its soooo good, especially while you're pregnant!

I love details like this... my favorites stories on the planet are "about to go into labor" or "in labor" or "hospital stays after labor" stories... I'm weird.... I just REALLY like to know the whole picture....
