Pierce's Room

We got some more baby room stuff this week from some members of Brock's family. They got us a hamper, rug, wall plaques, night light, and changing pad cover. We also turned the quilt into a wall hanging.

My mom gave us those blocks (on the shelf in the picture below). They were from my great grandma's house. I'm pretty sure I remember playing with them when I was a kid. The only problem is we didn't have the right letters to spell any of the obvious things like Pierce, baby, boy, abc, etc. I messed with it a lot and came up with "too cute for u." It's kind of cheesy, but we'll leave it until we think of something else to spell or get some new blocks that include all the letters. Some other options we've found are Roark and cutie. Also, Brock has started looking for a Superman figure to put on the shelf where the shoes are now. Hopefully we can find the right one eventually so we can have some representation of Superman in the room. He really wanted to do a Superman theme for the room, but I didn't.

We're still not done with the room. We'll let you know when we do something else.

While we were working on it, something broke, and we had to use superglue to fix it. Brock learned a valuable lesson. Never blow on superglue to get it to dry faster. He did, and it splashed in his eye and on his tongue, lip, and nose. He was most worried about his eye, so he rinsed it out really well, but the rest of the places were numb for a day or so. I think he has fully recovered now.
