I put myself on a new schedule this week. I was tired of always having things to do but forgetting what I needed to do or not knowing what to do next. I always felt lazy and lost. I think it's going well so far. I've had to revise it a little since I started. Brock told me this morning that he's impressed with my new schedule....not because I'm following it closely (my alarm had already gone off when he was telling me this and I was still in bed) but that I was actually getting stuff done during the day. I told him that it's a loose schedule. He thought that was funny, but it's true. I just wanted an outline to remind myself of all that I need to do every day, but it's impossible for me to follow the same set schedule every day. Even when I get ready in the morning, I never do things in the same order every day. That's the difference between him and me. Well, it's not the only difference, but it's a reflection of our different personalities. He can't enjoy life until he gets everything accomplished. I enjoy life while I'm getting things done. That's why it takes me longer to do everything. Brock will rush around all morning to finish his to do list, then he will relax all afternoon. I, on the other hand, will relax all morning and rush around all afternoon. I just like it better that way. Think what you want about me. :)
So our bedroom is still coming together. Since we inherited our furniture set from Brock's parents (from his home bedroom), we only had one night stand. Whether or not we were supposed to inherit the furniture is debatable, but I was not involved in that negotiation process, so I plead the fifth. I can however say that I have never taken it for granted. :) Brock, of course, wanted the exact same night stand for the other side of the bed which we were not able to find, so we knew we had to do something completely different for that side. Our solution was this desk.
Any ideas for what to put on the walls are welcome.
You may also notice we've added more pillows to our bed. We got those lamps with white shades, but the white didn't really match anything else. We were looking for white pillows, and we finally found something to work. The pillows are actually off white, but the lamps match perfectly when they're turned on.
