21 weeks

This week has been stressful because my dad had a minor heart attack Thursday morning. He had a completely blocked artery. His heart has minor damage, but hopefully with some rest, it can heal. I'm not sure how that all works. We have been worried about him, and we hope he can recover quickly and be strong and healthy soon. Unfortunately, they won't be able to come visit us this week for Thanksgiving which we were looking forward to, but it's more important that he rests. He's supposed to be in the hospital until tomorrow morning.

Here's my 21 week picture from Friday...
I don't know why there's a white spot under my arm. That wasn't there in real life. It's probably my bra showing through in the flash. I apologize. Brock asked me why I always put my hand on my belly in my pictures. Apparently he didn't read the post when I explained that if I don't do it, in some clothes, I look a little blobbish in the front because all the curves kind of run together, so I just do it every time now. I'm still feeling pretty good. I'm trying to eat healthier to keep my body functioning well in the tummy area, if that makes sense. I still love feeling the baby move, and he's getting stronger and stronger. I realize that a lot of you have been pregnant before, some multiple times, so you probably don't care too much about my weekly updates. First of all, you must keep in mind that this blog is sort of a family journal for us. However, the main reason for the frequent updates is that we live in Kentucky, my parents live in Arkansas, and Brock's parents live in Utah. Brock and I are both the oldest children in our families and the only ones married; therefore, our baby Pierce will be the first grandchild on either side. We figure all the soon-to-be grandparents might like to see his (and my) growth. With that said, here is the bedding we chose for the baby crib.
Also, Brock's dad was so excited to get Pierce some cute little baby shoes, and here's what he chose. I love them!

You're actually getting a belly! It makes me feel better b/c I am too (I might actually put up a picture this week). You look really good. I love his bedding...those colors are so pretty. And I really like the idea of using the blanket as a wall hanging.

I'm glad to hear your dad is okay. I couldn't believe it when I heard what happened.

The comment from Brock earlier was actually me. He told me to leave it though bc he thought it sounded sarcastic. I guess sarcasm is a good thing to him.

I like that you post pictures because I can compare with them... the bedding is SO cute!! We still haven't decided on anything yet. I had no idea about your dad! I hope he gets better soon!

Yikes dude! Sorry to hear about your dad. Keep us updated on how he is.

And keep updating in general! It's so fun to see friends go through pregnancy, especially since you post pictures!

Bedding = super cute. I couldn't decide on a theme, so I just did Sam's room in a bunch of bright colors.

Britney, you are adorable! Never apologize for anything you post on your blog...even those of us who've had multiple pregnancies never get tired of seeing that cute little belly. I look forward to your weekly update. I love the bedding too, and the shoes. I'm glad you're feeling well, and i'm so sorry about your dad...I'm glad he is okay, though. How very scarey!

I love all your updates. Being pregnant is such a special time and I enjoy hearing about all the things your feeling and going through.

I was sad to hear about your dad but am so glad that he is back home resting. I think Martha said you were heading to AR so hopefully, you guys can still be together for Thanksgiving. He is in our prayers!

Erik is the first grandchild on both sides as well. It has been a lot of fun. Both sides had a lot of fun spoiling him, and of course I didn't mind. BTW the crib is really cute.
