wind storm

We had a crazy storm here yesterday. Hurricane Ike made it up to us, but it was just wind. I don't think we got a drop of rain. No lightning or thunder. Just plain wind. Our power went out around 1:30, and we think it came on about 5 hours later, but we weren't home when it came on. Our friends Dustin and Meredith were lucky enough to not lose power, so we went to their house for a while. Thanks again guys! There are still people in the "tri-state" (Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana) without power though, and it may be a few days before everyone gets it back. I'm so glad we have ours, and I hope they don't have to turn it off. We were also very lucky that our house didn't have any damage. The new house across the street from us had the siding ripped off of both sides. Several homes in our neighborhood had siding and shingles ripped off. There are trees and branches all over the place. It was crazy. I wish I had a video of it, but here's a picture I just took of the house across the street. We've never seen anything like that with just pure wind and no thunderstorm or tornados. I'll try to add some more damage pictures later.
