our life lately

I don't know what I used to blog about all the time because I can't think of much lately.

I'm glad it's September. I used to hate this time of year because it meant going back to school, but now that I do the same thing at all times of the year, I really like fall. It's starting to get a little cooler here. I never really felt that awful heat and humidity that everyone was telling us about when we first moved here. Um, did they know that we came from Texas? Yeah, there were a few miserable days, but come on people, it's not that bad. I'm excited to actually have a fall season. It was so pretty when we came here to visit last November. The trees were all kinds of colors.

Brock has just been working every day. I taught my first piano lesson last week. I think we've been enjoying our callings at church. I know I have, and Brock hasn't complained a lot. He's the ward mission leader. The only bad part of that is he has to get up a little earlier on Sunday for meetings. I'm getting the little primary kids ready for the program next month. They know all the songs, so I'm just thinking of fun ways to practice them over and over every week. I'm also working with some smaller groups on a few songs. Primary is the easy part of my calling, but nursery is quite the challenge. They split up the nursery, so I just do singing time with the 3 year old class. They are so crazy but so cute at the same time. I'm exhausted after church every week basically just from trying to sing with a bunch of 3 year olds for a few minutes.
