Brock Almost Died

When I woke up Saturday morning, I found Brock outside trying to cut this little dead branch off of this skinny but tall tree in our back yard. He was using a long pole with a saw at the end that he borrowed from a lady he works with. I went outside to help him, but we decided we should take a picture, so I went to get the camera. I took the picture and went inside again to get a drink. While I was gone, he cut the branch off, lost his balance, and...fell out of the tree to his death.
Actually he didn't really fall (he just pretended for the picture), but I did come back outside to him hugging the tree because when the branch came off, the ladder slid, and he lost his balance. After I helped him down, he did the same thing to another tree. That time I stayed with him to make sure he didn't fall. Well I stayed near him, but I didn't really want to stand under a falling branch and a long pole with a saw at the end of it.
He was glad to finally get those branches cut off. They've been bugging him since we moved in. I was just glad that he didn't die.

2 questions...would your arm REALLY do that if you fell? ALSO why, oh why, would you wear flip flops whilst climbing a big ole ladder. That is just laughing in the face of danger...

I need a bigger picture of you back yard. Your tress look like they are randomly in your yard. Why were the branches bugging him?

I love you back yard! It looks so big. Also, that is so something Brock would do.

Brock - this is Casey and I have to tell you...I would have done the same thing. No task too big to try and tackle yourself! Way to go!
