We had some friends over Friday night to grill hamburgers. It was fun. As you can probably guess, we played Rock Band. Tessa and Duffy had never played it before, so of course we had to show them. We also did something else that Brock has been wanting to do (and that I have been not wanting to do, at least not at night). Our neighbor told us about an abandoned house in the woods behind our neighborhood. We could see it in the winter when there were no leaves on the trees. We wanted to go back there to explore, but it was always muddy. Brock told our friends about it, and they thought it sounded fun to go look. Of course, we had to wait until it got dark outside because, for some reason, scaring yourself is enjoyable for some people. When it was dark, we took our flashlights and walked across the clearing behind our house and into the woods. There ended up being several abandoned houses back there. Meredith and I stayed outside while everyone else went in (led by Brock). They said it was okay to go in, and Meredith went, so I had to follow. The house was falling apart, and it was filled with junk. We looked around, and then of course, we had to go to the next house. I walked up to the door, but I didn't really want to walk inside. At this point, it wasn't as much because I was scared of the dark but mostly because I was afraid the house was going to collapse on top of me. (I always have to be afraid of something, that's just how I am.) So here are some pictures of what we saw. I guess it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, and I'd like to go back during the day, so I can actually see everything.

Scary
To those of you who enjoy reading our blog, be grateful for Brock because sometimes I don't feel like blogging, and Brock continues to ask me about it until I do it. Thanks Brock for keeping the blog alive! :)

That looks like the kind of houses Tammy enjoys seeing. Better watch out for snakes and other critters.
I'm glad to see that you two are doing great in your house. I love looking at your blog to see what what is going on in your life.
I am with you Brittany, I would have been very scared.
Hey I know Tessa! That's so funny... It's a small world. Britney, you are braver than me. I would have stayed at my nice safe house and not even gone outside...
Brittany, who is the girl in green? I can't see her face, but is that you? hmmm. Did you bring a gun so you wouldnt be scared? I'm sure we would have. hhahah.
Brock is no stranger to exploring old scary buildings...he almost died a few years ago exploring an old haunted hospital....haha
How fun! I like looking through old houses like that. It's really interesting that people would just leave so much stuff behind. Jared would be so jealous if he knew you went to a reds game...he LOVES Griffey. I feel really bad that the one time they're coming to California where he is right now, he has to come up that week to be with me when I'm going to be induced. lol. oh the sacrifices our guys make for us. :P It's so cool that you guys get to do so much around you!
