Northern Kentucky

The weather has been really nice the past couple of days, so we decided to take a drive Sunday afternoon. Northern Kentucky is interesting because it has a very rural feel to it, yet we are so close to downtown Cincinnati. We're about 10 miles from where this picture was taken. This is the road that our neighborhood is on. We drive on this road every day. I'm not sure if someone lives in that building, but I'd be a little worried that a car would run into it.
Even though there are new subdivisions coming in, the area around our house still has the true northern Kentucky feel to it. I've heard that until recently, Kentuckians really liked to serparate themselves from Cincinnati. Someone told me that people would rather drive to Louisville, more than an hour away, than go into Cincinnati. That was probably quite a while ago, but it seems like there is still a weird attitude between people from Ohio and people from Kentucky. I've also heard that there are also interesting attitudes between the east and west sides of Cincinnati.
This is the train bridge near our house. Thankfully, the trains usually don't blow their whistles when they come through here, so we rarely hear them.
The closest business to our house is a shooting range. We think that's funny.
Someone lives here. This was on a different road that we had never been on. We thought this house was quite interesting.

From what I can see, it looks like N.W. Arkansas. Must be pretty! It's nice to be so close to the city and still have a rural area to live in. The roof of that house looks like it is going to slide off! Jeannie

Steve would be jealous about the shooting range, not that we are gun freaks or anything.
