Part 3 of the Brock and Britney story is Brock's proposal. I moved to Utah on Dec. 28, 2003, and he proposed to me on Feb. 24, 2004 (then we got married on May 11, 2004).
I had a psychology class that semester that I always tried to get Brock to go to with me. However, he never wanted to wake up early enough to go with me (I think it was at 9:30). My birthday was Friday, and he told me that my gift would be late because it was coming in the mail. On Monday night I finally got him to say he would come to my class with me the next day. He even said he would come early to my apartment and eat breakfast with me. We planned that I would set my alarm for 7:30 and let him in so he wouldn't have to wake up my roommates. Tuesday morning my roommates came to my room at 7:15 and told me I had a package in the living room. I was planning on waking up at 7:30, so I was just going to sleep for 15 more minutes. They came back and told me that I might want to go open it. I was annoyed, but I got out of bed. When I got to the living room, I saw a huge box wrapped with red paper with a bow on top. As I got closer I saw a paper on top. It said: OPEN ME, happy belated birthday. So I opened the box. .jpg)

It took me a second for my sleepy mind to realize what was inside, but when I did I screamed. Brock was inside the box! He had the ring in his hand and he asked if I'd marry him. He stood up and I hugged him.
I was laughing (he would say that I was crying, but it's not true). I guess I didn't actually answer his question right away, but I figured he already knew the answer. So we took some reenactment pictures. We have a video of him and his roommates wrapping the box the night before and dropping him off that morning, but the video ended when he went inside my apartment because they wanted to give us privacy. They didn't know that my roommates would be there watching, so they could have just stayed, but that's okay. After that he made me breakfast and drove me to school.
It was really nice except he still didn't come to my class with me.

He needed a haircut, and he's pretty cheap so he didn't want to pay for one. There was this girl in my apartment complex that was in hair school, so she said she would cut it for him. She cut it, but he didn't like it at all, so he buzzed his head. When he came to my apartment he always wanted to wear a hat so she wouldn't see what he did. He forgot to bring one of his own that day so he borrowed something from me.

It looks really cold at your house! This is Sharee's last semester to teach piano because they are moving. I'm kinda sad.
This is fun to hear all about your story! Congratulations on your house, that's so exciting! Have fun unpacking and decorating!
Hey it's Jen Swendsen's brother. I can't believe you know Spencer McKinney AKA one of my favorite people in the world. We lived together for a grand total of like four months on my mission. I know everything about that guy. Which of his friends is your brother? He always told Conway stories...
You all are too cute!!! How's life living it up as a housewife? Good times!
